Health Sciences Graduates Honored at Pinning Ceremony

杏吧原创 State Community & Technical College hosted its annual Fall 2024 Health Sciences Pinning and White Coat Ceremony at the Von Braun Center鈥檚 Saturn Ballroom on Friday, Dec. 13. Over 50 graduates were recognized for their dedication to healthcare excellence, marking a significant milestone in their academic and professional journeys.

The ceremony celebrated students from the college鈥檚 LPN Launch, Associate Degree Nursing, Phlebotomy, and Medical Assisting programs. Graduates received their accolades in front of family, friends, faculty, and healthcare leaders, signifying their readiness to enter the healthcare workforce.

鈥淭oday鈥檚 ceremony was a powerful reminder of the incredible work our students have put into their education,鈥 said Dr. Alice Raymond, Division Chair for the Health Sciences department. 鈥淗earing their stories highlighted the dedication it takes to succeed in healthcare.鈥

The student-centered ceremony showcased the students鈥 accomplishments, and attendees heard moving remarks from students who shared their unique stories of perseverance and commitment.

Michael Harrington, an Associate Degree Nursing student, spoke passionately about his journey and the support he received along the way. 鈥淭his moment means everything to me,鈥 said Harrington. 鈥淭he challenges I鈥檝e faced have only made me stronger, and I鈥檓 ready to take this next step in my career.鈥

The ceremony included the traditional candle lighting and recitation of the Health Sciences Pledge, further underscoring the graduates鈥 commitment to integrity, compassion, and excellence in patient care.

This event highlights 杏吧原创 State’s ongoing mission to prepare skilled healthcare professionals who make a positive impact in the community.
